    Dena Evans

  • Started Hoops School in 1999
  • Owner and Director of The Point Guard College
  • Played professionally in the ABL, WNBA, in Europe, and in New Zealand
  • Played in college at the University of Virginia where she played in 3 NCAA Final Fours, was named a Basketball and an Academic All-American, and was given the Frances P. Naismith Award honoring the nation's top collegiate player under 5'7"
  • Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in economics and was a Rhodes Scholar Finalist
  • Graduate of Deer Park High School where she was named "Miss Basketball" in Texas and was Salutatorian of her class

    Theresa White

  • Recognized as one of the top coaches in the Houston area
  • 2004 Teacher Of The Year At Deer Park High School North Campus
  • Varsity girls coach at Deer Park High School
  • Over 18 years of coaching experience
  • Has won over 80% of her games while coaching at the varsity, junior varsity, and freshman levels, and her teams are consistently known for their discipline and defense.
  • Played collegiately at Temple Junior College and the University of Texas-Arlington
  • First member of her family to graduate from college
  • Excellent teacher of discipline and defense

    Heidi Burge Horton

  • Played professionally in the WNBA for the Los Angeles Sparks and the Washington Mystics
  • Played in Europe for 6 seasons
  • Played collegiately at the University of Virginia with Dena and was an Academic All-American
  • Is listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as one of the two tallest female identical twins in the world at 6-5 (with her twin Heather Burge, who also played with Heidi and Dena at UVa)
  • Speaks six languages--English, Spanish, French, Italian, Hungarian and Greek
  • Specializes in teaching post play
  • 2002 Disney movie Double Team was based on Heidi and Heather's lives
